St Albans Herts Sharp Knockout Team Results 2011-2012 Season

The Sharp Trophy is the annual Under 160 knock out competition of the Hertfordshire Chess Association. The club's fixtures and results in this competition are as follows.

18 October 2011 -- Quarter Final:   Hertford v St Albans

The match was tied 3 - 3. The first method of resolving a tie is on board count (the winning team having the lower total of board numbers on won games). However this match was a tie on board count, and St Albans progress to the semi-finals by the elimination rule (eliminating the bottom Board and working upwards until there is a result). In the semi finals we will play at home against Bishops Stortford (date TBD).
