History of the Early Knights

The junior section of St. Albans Chess Club was started in September 1999, and has been popular with young chess enthusiasts ever since.

Some of the original members are still here, still enjoying their chess, and much improved.

Some of our earliest Knights (and some that started in the subsequent years) now play in one of our senior teams in the Hertfordshire Chess League.
