New Club Officers elected at 2011 AGM

At the 2011 AGM held on Monday 13 June, the following elections took place.

Officers of the Club

Jeremy Fraser-Mitchell was elected as President, succeeding John Simmons who decided to stand down after six highly successful years in the role.

Ian Cross was elected as Secretary, succeeding Peter Hayward who was standing down due to other commitments.

Austin McMahon was re-elected as Treasurer.

Ray Claret was re-elected as Congress Organiser.

There was a vote of thanks for John Simmons' sterling work as President over six years in which his tact, diplomacy & commitment greatly benefited the club.  All members expressed their approval in the traditional manner.  Members were informed that a tankard suitably inscribed had been purchased and would be presented to John at a later date when he returned from holiday.

Club Committee

It was clarifed that the Club Committee consists of the above Officers, together with

  • the Team Captains of teams in the South Herts League (albeit any Team Captain may opt out of the Committee at the time of appointment if he/she wishes)
  • Rosemary Phillips in her capacity as Early Knights Organiser.
